After Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, asked him to make a movie about the Indus Valley Civilization, director SS Rajamouli shared his response.
On Twitter, Anand re-shared an article on the civilization's historic towns, which also included Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhu Daro, and Rupar.

“These are amazing illustrations that bring history to life and spark our imagination,” tweeted Anand Mahindra. Shoutout to @ssrajamouli for considering a movie project based on that time period that would raise awareness of that historic civilization on a worldwide scale.

Rajamouli responded by saying, “Yes sir… I came upon a tree in Dholavira that was so old that it had turned into a fossil when I was filming for Magadheera. I had an idea for a movie using that tree as the narrator on the rise and collapse of the Indus valley civilization! travelled to Pakistan a few while afterwards. incredibly hard to travel to Mohen
jodaro. Sadly, I was refused authorization.

2009 saw the release of the fantasy action movie Magadheera in Telugu. Ram Charan, Srihari, Kajal Aggarwal, and Dev Gill are the movie's main actors. It has an everlasting love and rebirth concept.
