The search giant is now trying to introduce a feature that will allow users to swiftly respond to emails in a chat-like way to its Android app.

According to Android Police and Assemble Debug on X (Twitter), Google has begun rolling out a new reply user interface (UI) for Gmail. This “should be available for most users with Gmail version 2024.01.14.599541078,” according to the tipster.

This implies that the fast compose button will be replaced with a new compose window that consumers will see. According to Android Police, this also gets rid of the “Reply,” “Reply all,” and “Forward” buttons.

A paper clip symbol to attach files is located on each side of the type field. You may choose to respond, reply all, or forward the email by selecting the reply button. Additionally, this box is expandable. Overall, this should make it simple and convenient for users to swiftly enter responses.

This update is apparently already being received by some people; if not, don’t worry—it will soon be made available to everyone. We looked at it on our Android 13 smartphone, but it’s not there yet.
