Murphy said, “You have 10 hours, maybe,” underscoring how crucial it was for him to get enough sleep during shooting. He went on, “I need sleep, and I love to sleep.”</p>
<p>Cillian Murphy said that he has liked having meals with Matt Damon after shooting, despite his concentration on the set. But Murphy chose to follow a strict diet during “Oppenheimer” production, when he plays scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man behind the atomic bomb, missing cast meals as a result. Murphy’s co-stars Damon and Emily Blunt recalled asking him to supper every night but finding him to stay away and often eat little snacks like apple slices or almonds.</p>
<p>Blunt recognized the enormous responsibility Murphy took on and sympathized with his dedication to the position. She gave an explanation for Murphy’s absence from social events during shooting, saying, “The sheer volume of what he had to take on…is so monumental.”</p>
