<p>The regional finals squad had players from Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Jersey, Italy, Denmark, and Austria. After playing each other once, the top two teams proceed to the prestigious T20 World Cup in 2024.</p>
<p>Scotland qualified for the tournament by winning five of its five games. They put in a strong performance against Germany on July 20, 2023 at the Golderence Sports Ground in Edinburgh and triumphed by 72 runs using the DLS technique to begin their adventure.</p>
<p>George Munsey’s 132 off 61 deliveries helped Scotland defeat Austria by 166 runs on July 25. In today’s last league game, Richard Berrington’s squad won by a decisive score of 33 runs.</p>
<p>This is a huge feat for Scotland, who missed the bus to the 2023 World Cup. The 2024 T20 World Cup will include 20 participating teams.</p>
<p>Ireland finished second in the qualifying round’s points standings. On July 20, they defeated Italy by a narrow 7-run score to open the competition. It was a fairly tight game, with Ireland making 158 for 8 and Italy making 151 for 9.</p>
<p>In the second game, Ireland overpowered Denmark and won by a margin of 9 wickets. Ireland succeeds with ease in reaching the goal, whereas Denmark scored 122 for 9. On July 23, Ireland won the third game by a margin of 128 runs against Austria.</p>
<p>On July 21, following a tense encounter at The Grange Club in Edinburgh, Scotland beat Jersey by a score of 14 runs. On July 24, they defeated Italy once again in the third of three games, this time by a commanding score of 155 runs.</p>
<p>Then, after putting up yet another great effort, they trounced Jersey by nine wickets. Because the last league match against Germany had to be postponed owing to weather, Ireland was able to qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2024.</p>
<p>Ireland and Scotland didn’t participate in the 2023 World Cup. They’ll face off in the competition’s championship game on July 28, 2023. The T20I series against India in August will give Ireland additional confidence, so they’ll want to build on their outstanding performance.</p>
